Sick and tired of Alcohol getting you down? Afraid of alcoholism?

Drinking can be a fun way to pass time with friends. However, if for you, the pain is now more than the pleasure; it is the universe's way of telling you that its time to stop.  

The last thing that u want, is to be at your death bed, and feel disgusted  with yourself for missing so many days to hangovers. Health is everything.

Some of these suggestions might help.

1.  Commit yourself 100%.  Why? It does not work half way. You should know because u have been that road before.

You can't be  wishy-washy and expect to stop. It does not work to just cut down. Sorry. You cannot have one foot on your intended path and the other on the old, toxic one.  It does not work.  

This is a fight for the quality of your life. If you were a diabetic, you would not ingest certain things.  There would be no question or half hearted attempts.

2.  Write down your goals.  What would you do with the money and time you save from drinking ?  But be gentle with yourself.  Just baby steps, one day at a time. Waking up without a hangover tomorrow should be goal number one!

3.  Every time you feel weak and fragile, promise your tomorrow self, the one that will get up tomorrow; that you will protect it. The decision you make today will decide what kind of day you will wake up to tomorrow!

4.  Don't worry about what your drinking buddies will say, but please you must be prepared. 

 When they ask "soooo you are not drinking anymore?"  You just smile.
 Take a moment and  Inwardly think to yourself: I am not being deprived of a thing. 

 I drink, coffee, raspberry, mint, green, peppermint tea.  Or i drink chocolate, deliciously tall, frozen, glasses of water with  twists of lemon,... you get the idea. 
However,  out loud just answer "No. Not anymore.."  Do not get into a discussion about it.  You do not have to explain yourself.

Decide what you will drink instead and be prepared to ask for it. This is what you will automatically ask if you go out. (Don't wait til you are out to decide).    Picture how good you are going to feel the next day!
Water has power. Keep a cold glass of water, if possible with a drop of fresh lemon juice.
  • While drinking close your eyes, and say to yourself, “This water energizes my body every time I drink it. I am energized   from the top of my head to my toes.  I only ingest what is best for my body.
Its not your concern to judge  or make anyone change.  If you are a male, please remember that many "manly" men do not drink alcohol.  If alcohol is a problem for you, its a problem for those around you. Do it for them.
